Sardinia is an island waiting to be discovered. Famous all over the world for its beaches and crystal clear water but less known for the villages overlooking the sea and its culinary traditions. The first stop on our itinerary will be Alghero, a Sardinian city where you can still sense a strong Catalan influence, you will be excited by the walks along the ramparts of the port, and the lanes of the historic center. You will then continue with the panoramic road to Bosa, a colorful town overlooking the Temo river with a retro atmosphere famous for the production of Malvasia in the vineyards of the area. You will then go up towards Castelsardo, a small village that overlooks the sea of the Gulf of Asinara to end in style with a visit at the protected National Park of Asinara.
Arrival in the city of Alghero, you will walk through the streets of the center accompanied by the story of a local guide. In the evening it will be possible to dine in one of the many restaurants on the ramparts overlooking the sea.
Excursion to the marvellous “Grotte di Nettuno”, a karst formation that can be partially visited, to which we will access through the famous "Escala del Cabirol" ,a staircase overlooking the sea that will gradually reveal one of the most evocative and exciting of sceneries.
You will relax on one of the city beaches and later you will discover the processing of coral up close.
Crossing the panoramic road starting from Alghero you will arrive in Bosa where you will stay in a widespread hotel in the city center. You will be able to walk freely through the village, getting lost following the up and down alleys that lead to the highest part of the city where the Malaspina Castle stands. Here you will admire the breath-taking view of the city while enjoying an aperitif at the foot of the Castle.
You will visit a local winery with Malvasia vineyard and taste cheeses and typical products such as Sardinian pecorino, sausage paired with pistoccu and carrasau bread.
Free morning for a walk in the large expanse of the caramel colored beach of Bosa Marina. In the afternoon a local guide will tell you some trivia about the city and the ancient tanning tradition, you will visit the small museum of tannery set up in a real tannery from the 1700s. You will then have dinner in a fish restaurant right in the characteristic street of the ancient tanneries.
